Candidate Match(tm)
The PolitiChoice.com Candidate Matching tools were created to help individuals analyze candidate views on important issues, and find which candidates align most closely with their own views on those issues.  Our single most important goal is to provide accurate, unbiased representations of major candidate views to help people make informed decisions about which candidate they plan to vote for and support. 

To achieve this goal, we provide a Blog based feedback system to allow participants to comment on how the candidate views are set and provide feedback and references when they feel a view is set incorrectly (or has changed).  We also work to stay current with the candidate websites, position papers, media interviews, and media accounts to keep the candidate views set correctly.  We will always give precedence to candidate's own statements and media releases when setting their views before referring to 3rd party media accounts.  Our feeling is that the best representation of the site is to portray the candidates' views based on what they say their positions are.  It is up to the individual analyzing the information to determine whether an individual candidate actually follows their stated positions.  For those candidates or the authorized representatives who choose to participate, they have complete control as to how their views are represented within the site.

But the real fun is in the friends and groups features.  These allow you to compare your views to other members that you know, and set up your own groups to see how the entire group would match up with a candidate.  It's ideal for classes, conversation with your co-workers, or even making that next family gathering a little more fiesty!

Analysis of our Survey Data
One of the most unique and powerful features of PolitiChoice.com are the analysis tools provided for registered users (remember, registration is free).  Unlike most polls, we actually allow you to see the results and crosstabs.  Furthermore, you can see how the overall responses to the surveys compare to any candidate or party you'd like.  You can filter the responses by different demographic information we collect during registration to really explore how the PolitiChoice.com community responds to the issues you care about most.
